The Boys Next Door is a fresh concept for a documentary series that takes the audience inside the lives of gay families. Coupled for six year and Recently married in California, Raymond and Byron have twins active girls racing through the terrible twos. Shortly after the birth of the twins, they faced a crisis when Raymond was diagnosed with cancer. Today, they face all the usual struggles of a family with young toddlers financial problems, finding a good babysitter as well as the continuing worries around Raymonds health. The series focuses on a significant events, sometimes a happy one like a birthday party, sometimes a scary one like a doctors visit.
THE BOYS NEXT DOOR is a timely show focusing on gay families in post-Proposition 8 California, and the ongoing struggles over gay marriage and adoption in many states. The BOYS shows gay families are America's families facing similar challenges and rewards when we make the decision to raise children.
